Here’s what other Lunch with the Pastor attendees have to say:
“My family found Grace Pointe Naperville through their Awana kids program. From our very first visit, we knew GPN was meant to be our new church home. It is apparent that GPN genuinely cares about the congregation and has many ways to get and stay connected. One of these ways is through their event “Lunch with the Pastor.” Normally I have to bring my own meals to events due to food allergies, but Brandy ensured that I would be able to enjoy a provided lunch like everyone else. This meant the world to me and is just one of the many ways GPN makes people feel seen and valued. During this lunch with Pastor Dan Painter and some of the church leaders, we were able to enjoy a meal while learning about the church’s history, beliefs, and values, as well as opportunities to serve and get connected. I highly recommend attending GPN and one of these monthly lunches!” – Katrina B.
“My husband and I had attended Grace Pointe many years ago and felt led to come back for a visit. It was nice to see so many familiar faces the minute we walked through the front door. Since it had been some time since we last attended, we thought it would be a good idea to attend “Lunch with the Pastor.” There was a nice-sized group of people attending the lunch. Dan, along with two other staff members were welcoming. Dan shared the history of the church and the heart of their ministry. We love that missions plays a vital role in the church. The church is committed to preaching the Word of God, and their mission, which is to “help as many people become as much like Jesus Christ in the shortest time possible,” is evident. The lunch was a casual, unthreatening setting where we could ask questions and get an idea of what Grace Pointe is all about. We received a follow-up email from Brandy and Kyle, letting us know they are available to answer any other questions we may have. We recommend attending a “Lunch with the Pastor” if you are new, or even returning, to GP.” – Tom and Debbie F.
“It was great to enjoy Lunch with the Pastor” with other new people, the pastor, and church staff. It’s hard to go to a new church, so it was good to hear how other people were drawn to Grace Pointe. It was encouraging to hear the history of the church/core values in person, because you miss the passion from just reading the website!” – Rita J.
“‘Lunch the Pastor’ is a very thoughtful, low-pressure way to get introduced to GPN. Brandy was easy to get in touch with and very responsive. I was surprised at how the large meeting room was packed as these days as most churches report lower attendance. Not the case here if the session we attended was any indication. They offered a nice boxed lunch and drinks and we got to speak or ask questions as much or as little as we liked. Pastor Dan gave us a good history of the church. Overall, I appreciated the traditional worship that emphasized participation over loud effects, and that there is a vibrant missions and evangelism ministry with many trips, events, and updates on progress, even overseas.” – Steven L.
