Awana Club
Wednesdays from September 2, 2026 – April 28, 2027
6th-12th Grade: 5:30-6:30 pm
4-year-olds-5th grade: 6:30-8 pm (check-in begins at 6:15 pm)
Awana is our midweek discipleship club where children have the opportunity to memorize, study, and learn life lessons from important passages of the Bible to help them grow spiritually and have a blast playing exciting games and activities. Awana stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed from 2 Timothy 2:15: “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.” Awana helps parents to raise children to know, love, and serve Jesus Christ.
Awana is divided into three segments:
• Games: Kids participate in fun and exciting games on the Awana Game Square.
• Handbook & Small Groups: Kids rehearse, memorize, and study Scripture in smaller groups.
• Large Group: Kids sing, worship, and hear a Bible lesson specifically for them to apply to their lives.
There are opportunities for 4-year-olds up to high school! Find all the details in the registration below. Registration for Awana 2026-2027 will open on August 1, 2026. Yearly registration is $45, with an early bird discount of $10 off registration if paid by August 15, 2026.

Christmas Musical Auditions | October 4
We are excited to invite all Kindergarten – 5th graders to audition for this year’s Christmas Musical. Auditions will be held Sunday, October 4th, from 4-6 pm in room 126/127 at GPN. Rehearsals will be on Sundays from 4-6 pm. For all the dates of rehearsals, audition information, and roles available, please click below.

Chicago Fire Soccer Faith and Family Event | October 10
Join Grace Pointe Church for a fun day of soccer, family, and community on Saturday, October 10 at 1:30 pm! Tickets are $40 per person and include admission to the match and a Chicago Fire special-edition scarf! Plus, $5 from every ticket goes back to Grace Pointe’s Student Mission Fund. Parent Meet and Greet | October 11
New to Grace Pointe or looking to learn more about your kids’ new Sunday class? Join us for a Parent Meet and Greet lunch! This is a great time to meet other families, tour the Grace Pointe Sunday school rooms, and get valuable information and tools for the coming year. Lunch will be provided.

Baptism Class | October 18
Join us for a special class designed for kids who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior, according to the Scriptures, and who want to be baptized (or for kids who have questions about baptism and the next steps in their faith journey). During the class, we will discuss salvation, baptism, and how children can begin to grow in their Christian faith. At least one parent/guardian should plan to attend the class with each child. 5th Grade: Believe at Bridge
WHO: 5th graders
WHEN: 10/4, 11/1, and 12/6
WHY: Have fun, build relationships, and provide an opportunity to grow in their belief and trust in God as we study an Old and New Testament story each session to answer the following three questions: What do I believe? What do I do? Who am I becoming?
SERVE: We would love for each parent to volunteer one month for a session to help set up, serve, clean up lunch, and provide an extra pair of hands for the activity.

Academy 4: Black Light Adventure | October 25
Who: All 4th graders

Father & Son Retreat | November 13-15
Life moves fast, and meaningful time together doesn’t always happen on its own. The Father/Son Retreat at Camp Timber-Lee is a chance to get away, unplug, have fun, and make space for deeper connection.
Fathers, grandfathers, and uncles are invited to bring their sons (2nd grade and up) for a weekend filled with zip lines, campfires, horses, worship, and time together without the usual distractions.
The retreat is November 13–15 at Camp Timber-Lee in East Troy, Wisconsin. Space is limited, so register with GPN soon so we can help keep our families together at camp.
